Sitio Kisbong - Spotlight

Sitio Kisbong

Sitio Kisbong is a great example of a progressive farm looking to continually improve their crop year or year. Their current crop was solely a garnica variety of arabica. Which has had a dramatic impact on taste when brewing. The year before was a mix of varieties of different arabica. The decision to focus on one variety and process as a natural has created a very versatile coffee. We have chosen to roast this for more for black coffees with a crisp apple acidity, notes of watermelon funk and a sweet coconut caramel lingering aftertaste.

We recommend it best as a French Press using the below recipe:

French Press

Makes 2 cups

  • Coffee: 40g

  • Just off the boil water : 700g

  • Cover grounds with water and leave for 4 minutes, leave plunger off

  • Stir with spoon after 4 mins

  • Place plunger on and push down slowly until 3/4 down

  • Pour and enjoy

  • Tip grind: Medium (kosher salt)

  • Tip water : Use bottled for best taste.
